Christmas memories

And now my Christmas memories...

Who doesn't have such a photo from kindergartner...? Here I'm five years old and dressed up as a fairy godmother from Cinderella. I may boast of playing such a role in our kindergarten performance ;)

For as long as I can remember, my whole family gathered in my grandmother's house on Christmas Eve. There were usually seventeen of us and I was always looking forward to this joyfull day. Everything started with waiting for the first star, then delicious supper with my favourite cherry soup, a concert of carols and finally presents. We were talking, singing and laughing till midnight...

This is only one part of my Christmas memories, though. The other one is connected with my grandparents from Szczecin. Because of he distance of almost 300 km, I usually spent Christmas time there every second year. My sister and I were always pampered by my grandparents as they were so happy that we could spend some time together. They used to have a huge Christmas tree with many colourful baubles and I always wished I had had the same one at home. I also remember that the whole journey to Szczecin was very exciting to me, although we had to spend five hours in a car. My father used to play "Jingle bells" by the band "Yello" from the movie "Santa Claus", as he is a great fun of such comedies, and then my sister and I started to fool around, sinigng this song and parodying Boris Blank's deep voice. It made my parents laugh and then my father started to speed up...Unfortunately, one time it ended up with a fine...

So here is my "favourite" version of Jingle bells...;)

My childhood

So this is me when I was... 4 months old. Many people say that I haven't changed much. Still the same black eyes, probably because I never wash them carefully, as one of my uncles always says.

I may say that I'm pretty lucky because I've got a lot of pictures from my childhood. Everything thanks to my father, who is interested in photography and at that time he used to develop photos himself in a dark bathroom. I decided to show you some of my favourite photos, which always cheer me up. I love going back to them and I couldn't resist putting them here. I hope you will like them as well...

As you can see in this photo, I've always liked studynig. Durnig my first year I was living with my parents in a dormitory. Therefore, from the very beginning I was getting to know students' life...

Here I'm explaining complicated diagrams to my mum and helping my dad to study for exams.

My favourite pastime, however, was discovering the contents of the kitchen cupboard looking for...something to eat! It always started so innocently...Have a look at these photos.

After for years my sister was born and finally I had someone to play with. Look at this photo. It always makes me smile. It's so cute, especially my sister's clenched little fists.
